Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
I grew up in Northern Wisconsin, where my passion for teaching began. From a young age, I found myself surrounded by younger cousins at every family gathering—leading games, organizing activities, and creating all kinds of fun shenanigans. It was clear early on that working with children would be part of my life’s path.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Reading and Mathematics. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching in a variety of settings—including middle school, kindergarten, first, and second grade—across three different states (Wisconsin, Alaska, and Colorado). I am a lifelong learner and continue to deepen my understanding of how to best support all learners, especially those with dyslexia and dysgraphia.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a belief in meeting students where they are, helping each child find their voice, and celebrating their growth in their own time. I am passionate about creating a classroom environment where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to three amazing kids, and together we’re always chasing the next big adventure. I’m also a lifelong runner—having competed since I was 11—and still set new running goals to this day.
I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and working together!
