Happy Sunday! We are officially 100+ days smarter! We had a fun time celebrating our 100th day of school. With our shorter week, we will continue vowels this upcoming week. We will also be talking about friendship and getting in the Valentine spirit!
Valentine’s Day Party:
We will celebrate as a class on Monday, February 14th. Your child is invited to make a Valentine box/bag at home and bring in Valentine cards. A homework and class list went home last week. Please let me know if you need another copy. Your child may include a treat/goodie with their Valentine cards if they would like. I look forward to celebrating with them!
Please bring boxes and cards on the 14th.
R.E.D. Book and Book bags:
Please keep all books in the bag. This will help with lost and damaged books. New books will go home on Tuesday. If you did not return your book bag on Friday, please return on Monday. I try to have them ready to go for the following week. If books are not returned, no new books will go home. I hope last week went well! Please let me know if you have any questions.

We are working on drawing a picture with five or more details. Students are writing simple sentences using the sight words we learned. If they do not know how to spell a word they are stretching out the sounds they know to create their words.
