3/20/2022

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing, and fun Spring Break! I can’t wait to see my kindies. I love how much they grow and make connections this time of year. We will all be working on reading and writing goals and continue to make deeper connections in math. I look forward to a great last couple months of school.

We had a fun week learning about force and motion. They came up with some very fun and creative ideas for possible traps. I was proud of their critical thinking and creativity!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

We are excited to announce the upcoming Spring Fling (Daddy/Daughter Dance).  More information will come from our PTO after Spring Break, but we would like you to have the date so you can save it!  This event will be held at Timber Trail on Saturday, April 9th from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.

You can purchase tickets here, but more details will come after Spring Break.

R.E.D. Book and Book bags:

Please keep all books in the bag. This  will help with lost and damaged books. New books will go home on Tuesday. If you did not return your book bag on Friday, please return on Monday. I try to have them ready to go for the following week. If books are not returned, no new books will go home. I hope last week went well! Please let me know if you have any questions.

This week we will be learning about severe weather and how it impacts animals and plants. We will be reading books and making connections about the types of weather we see in Colorado and other areas in the U.S.

In reading groups we are working on comprehension/retell of the story and looking at the whole word and not guessing at the first letter.

Writing

We will incorporate our writing with our science unit. We will write about the different types of weather and write about the connections they have made to weather and animal habitats.

We are working on creating a complete sentence with sounds, spaces, and punctuation.
