General SPED Information

What is Special Education (SPED)?

Special education is instruction tailored to meet the specific needs of your child as outlined on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Providers may include: a learning specialist, the school psychologist, a speech pathologist, and an occupational therapist.
A review of your child’s progress toward their goals will be held every year. Every three years, a re-evaluation will be conducted to ensure that the IEP is fully addressing your child’s current needs.
It is our hope that we can commit to working together as a team through open lines of productive communication, a set standard of expectations, and a culture of respect in order to provide a year of tremendous growth for your child.
