Ann Foster - Art
Welcome to Art at Timber Trail with Mrs. Foster
Here at Timber Trail, we have the unique opportunity to “dig deep” into both art and cross-curricular concepts for 1st-5th graders. With grades 1-5 attending art class for a full week at a time, we can dedicate meaningful time to creative exploration and develop projects that engage students in 2D, 3D, and digital art. This extended format allows us to dive into art techniques while connecting with other subjects, including language arts, science, math, and social studies.
For our youngest artists in Kindergarten, we meet three times per week, providing regular opportunities to build foundational skills and foster a love for creative expression. Additionally, during "Wolf Time," our rotation schedule allows all students to experience 25 minutes of art and/or S.T.E.A.M. every three weeks, keeping art a constant and exciting part of their learning journey.
I am excited to inspire your child’s creativity and help them grow through the power of art!
Outside of school, it’s family time! We hike, backpack, geocache, snowshoe, travel, explore science museums and aquariums, and enjoy the arts. My oldest is an aspiring marine biologist who plays the flute in her school band, also rides at Blue Horse Farms. My youngest is a focused young ballerina with The International Youth Ballet, and also sings in her school Choir.
