In the upcoming weeks we will begin to make class placements for the 2023-24 school year. I wanted to share with you Timber Trail's policy and procedures around class placement. Current classroom teachers meet as grade levels to build balanced classrooms for next year.  This balance includes gender, learning style, support needs, etc. After this initial placement, support staff, the Professional Learning Specialist, and I give input and make changes as necessary. Much time, thought, and consideration is given to this process. Parents will be able to access the classroom placement for their student(s) via the Parent Portal in August before school begins.

We are unable to take specific teacher requests for several reasons.  First, with 360 plus students, we would be unable to honor everyone's request.  In addition, we cannot guarantee that a teacher will be teaching a specific grade level as staffing changes can occur throughout the summer.  We do welcome input about your child's learning style and environment needs. We ask that these thoughts be shared in an email to me ([email protected]) and your child's current classroom teacher.  We ask that this information is shared by Friday, May 5th .  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
