Gifted and Talented

Welcome to Timber Trail's Gifted Education page. You will find announcements, resources, links, and identification information for teachers and parents. Our goal is to meet the individual needs of all gifted students, both academically and socially. Academic needs are met by clustering our identified gifted students in groups of 4-6 in mixed-ability classrooms, providing them with access to appropriate levels of challenge and complexity under the guidance of a trained teacher and an opportunity to be challenged by their peers. We also offer flexible groupings in math, independent study opportunities, and blended learning to ensure that we meet the individual needs of all students. To meet their social/emotional needs, students meet weekly in small groups to work on resiliency, risk-taking, leadership, and self-awareness.
